Europe Sketchbook, Part II. (2024)
Hello!
This is part two of the Europe Sketchbook series. If you missed part one, click here to read it.
One year ago, I took a four month trip to Europe and visited so many cool places. I tried to sketch while I was there but it was easy said than done.
Let me show you some of the pages I drew when I was in Italy, Rome.
Rome, Italy
I just drew without thinking about composition or order. I was mostly focus on illustrating the forms and what I saw around me.
Italy, Rome
On the left side, I drew my mom, and on the right side, I drew some sculptures I saw from buildings—mostly Angels.
I also pasted part of a pamphlet I collected from a museum in Tallinn, Estonia.
Colosseum - Rome, Italy
We arrived at the Colosseum earlier than the booking time. We walk around the Colosseum to kill time. It was so hot, so we sat down and waited. There were a lot of tourists and since this was my second time at the Colosseum I already knew what I was expecting, and it was fun to see it again.
Rome, Italy
I have to say, from all of the European cities we visited, Rome was one of the best. I remembered while we were in Rome enjoying the sun in our Airbnb balcony, we heard the news that Florida was hit with a hurricane—hurricane Helene. When we were in the metro, we saw the news headline about the hurricane.
Goodbye Rome! I love you.
Last page of Rome and moving towards our next destination: Barcelona, Spain.
And this completes the part II of the travel’s sketchbook. I hope you like it and leave a comment which one was your favorite. I will be back next week with part III (Barcelona, Spain).
